About Us

Our Mission

The formal mission of the Cheltenham Police Pension Fund is “to create, obtain, and establish a fund or funds by voluntary contributions, by gifts and legacies, to provide and pay a pension or pensions to the members of the Cheltenham Township Police department or their spouse, eligible to receive the same under rules or regulations to be prescribed by reason of past services rendered.”

In other words, we exist to pay pensions to retired police officers and death benefits to their dependents. By offering this supplemental pension benefit, we help recruit higher-quality candidates to work in Cheltenham.

The Fund also occasionally works on other projects that support law enforcement in Cheltenham Township.
